Rolled or Drop Sugar Cookies Recipe

• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 2 cups Crisco
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
• 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
• 3 1/2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS

Cream together sugar and Crisco. Add eggs and mix. Mix in sour cream, baking soda, vanilla, lemon extract, and coconut extract. Mix in flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Bake 350 degrees F for 11 minutes.

For drop cookies, change to 3 cups flour and bake at 375 degrees F. Use 2 tablespoons scoop.

Note: Best to make the dough and put in the refrigerator over night for both types of sugar cookies.
