DESCRIPTION
A college favorite, these chewy bars won’t last long. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F & do not overbake. Cool before cutting. Enjoy!

- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 cups quick oats
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Filling:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 – 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Cream butter & sugar, then add remaining six ingredients and blend well. Spread 2/3 mixture in a 9×13 inch pan.
In saucepan combine filling ingredients, cook and stir over low heat just until chocolate is melted. Spread over crust.
Using two teaspoons, drop remaining oat mixture on the filling. Use two forks to spread mixture more evenly. (I like to spread some of the walnuts on top.)
