DESCRIPTION
This is a classic Christmas cookies recipe. Of course you can make them for any holiday whether you celebrate Christmas or not.
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
DIRECTIONS
In large bowl, mix together sifted flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and butter If you don’t have a sifter, then just make sure you don’t pack down the flour.
In separate bowl, beat eggs and add sugar. Stir into first mixture.
On board covered with flour, roll out with roller covered in flour. Roll to 1/8 to 1/16 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters and transfer cookies to ungreased cookie sheet. If desired, add sprinkles to cookies before baking. Otherwise, add frosting to cookies after baking and add sprinkles.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F and bake until edges start to turn golden brown.
