DESCRIPTION
Who doesn’t like roadkill?? This recipe is great for camping/scouting.

- 2 pounds of stew meat or whatever you ran over on the way to camp
- 8 cups water
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 2 teaspoons of beef bouillon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 minced cloves of garlic
- 1 diced onion
- 4 diced potatoes
- 6 sliced carrots
DIRECTIONS
Heat a large Dutch oven with 24 briquettes under it. Brown the meat in the vegetable oil. Add the water, soup mix, beef bouillon, salt, pepper, garlic and onion. Stir and simmer for 45 minutes with 12 briquettes under and 6 on top. Add the potatoes, stir and cook for another 45 minutes. Add the carrots, stir and cook for 30 more minutes. Add more water at any time if the stew is getting too thick. Add and replace coals as necessary.
