DESCRIPTION

- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs separated
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 or more (depending on size) bananas
- whipped cream
Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
DIRECTIONS
Crust:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine. Press firmly and evenly against bottom and sides of pie pan. Bake 10 minutes and cool.
Filling:
Heat 2 cups milk in sauce pan. Combine sugar, cornstarch, 1/2 cup milk and egg yolks and add to the hot milk and cook until thick. Beat egg whites until stiff and add 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add to cooked mixture and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Slice bananas into mixture. Pile in graham cracker shell, refrigerate until cool, then top with whipped cream.
