Pour into ungreased 9&#215;13 inch pan.  Arrange apples on top.  In separate bowl, mix eggs, milk and vanilla.  Dip bread slices in egg mixture, soaking each one for a full minute.  Arrange bread over applies.  Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.  Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.</p>\n\n\n\n<p>SYRUP:  Combine applesauce, apple jelly, cinnamon, and cloves in a saucepan and stir until hot.
