Her mother, Mary Kay, wrote the above recipe card.</p>\n","content":"\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>Submitted by Rosie M.</em></p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>DESCRIPTION</strong></p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosie M. often makes this bread over the holidays.  </p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>INGREDIENTS</strong></p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>3 tablespoons shortening</li><li>1 cup sugar</li><li>1 egg</li><li>1 teaspoon salt</li><li>3 teaspoons baking powder</li><li>3 cups flour</li><li>1 cup milk</li><li>1/4 cup cherry juice</li><li>1/2 cup chopped nuts</li><li>1/3 cup chopped cherries</li></ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>DIRECTIONS</strong></p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cream shortening, add sugar, egg, milk, juice, and dry ingredients. Mix. Add cherries and nuts.  Put into greased load pan.
